THE BULA believes that through ongoing evaluation of its programmes and services, it can continue to develop in a way that facilitates the best possible learning experience.

Self-evaluation also enables the academic management to identify those aspects of the curriculum which are positive and also to target those which are in need of improvement or development.

Both academic management and staff play key roles in the self-evaluation of programmes on offer at THE BULA.

It is essential that each person knows exactly what role they play in order to facilitate effective evaluation of all programmes.

Teaching staff liaise with management in the process of evaluation and regular meetings are held to ensure ongoing communication on evaluation procedures.

Teachers are required to regularly complete questionnaires and to complete surveys, the findings of which are used in evaluating our programmes and services.

Through this process THE BULA can identify any weaknesses in its system and in turn address these.

Teachers also liaise with students in the self-evaluation process. One-to-one teacher/student feedback sessions take place on a regular basis, and the findings from these are passed onto academic management to help them in their role of evaluating the services provided. Student questionnaires and surveys are also part of the methodology employed by THE BULA.

Through self-evaluation THE BULA is able to assess the following:

+The extent to which the needs and requirements of its students are being met.

+The effectiveness of the teaching methods employed by its staff.

+How appropriate the resources / supplementary materials used by the College are.

+How well its courses prepare students for further education/training or employment.

+The training and development needs of its staff.

+The effectiveness of its procedures for ongoing training and development.

+Ways in which its methods of assessment can be improved.

Through self-evaluation, THE BULA is continually seeking ways to improve its programmes and services in a way which best meet the needs and requirements of its students.
